Wanna Play IV by Courtney Prahl

Courtney Prahl’s Wanna Play IV radiates joy and creativity, capturing a spirited dog in a lively mixed media collage. The dog’s black and brown coat, soulful eyes, and playful pink tongue are composed from an eclectic mix of papers, including magazine clippings, patterns, diagrams, and text fragments. Hidden phrases like Hollywood and Swap Event add subtle narrative layers, while the soft, neutral background with delicate cursive markings brings a quiet balance to the vibrant, textured foreground. Prahl’s unique method of combining found materials with expressive composition invites viewers to explore the intricate details and discover the warmth, humour, and memory embedded in each piece.

This artwork would shine in a bright, contemporary lounge, energising the space with its playful character, or above a desk in a home office, offering a spark of inspiration throughout the day. It also works beautifully in a corridor or entrance hall, providing an engaging focal point that delights visitors, or in a creative studio, where its layered textures and lively presence encourage curiosity and imagination.

As with all prints in this collection, Wanna Play IV is available as a stretched canvas, framed print, or rolled canvas, and comes in a wide range of sizes from small to extra large, allowing you to perfectly tailor it to your space.
