The Sheaf by Matisse

Liven your home and your life with this bright canvas print of Henri Matisse’s 1956 cutout creation entitled The Sheaf or La Gerbe. The artwork reflected the work Matisse had been doing with colourful paper cutouts, for La Gerbe, this was transferred to ceramic, it was a commission for a courtyard. Due to poor health, by 1950 Matisse had stopped painting choosing instead to create colourful collages, this series of art is known as The Cutouts.
