At Home II by Courtney Prahl

At Home II by Courtney Prahl, created in 2014, is a wonderfully characterful collage that turns the familiar idea of home into a playful visual story. A rounded bird sits above a simple house, with both forms constructed from layers of carefully selected paper, including sheet music, polka dots, stripes, vintage envelopes, postal markings and fragments of printed words. The muted blue background brings a sense of calm, allowing the intricate paper textures and contrasting patterns to shine. With its handmade appearance, nostalgic references and gentle symbolism, this mixed-media artwork has an effortlessly welcoming quality that suits interiors with warmth and personality.

• A charming conversation piece, celebrating home, belonging and the little details that make a space feel personal.

• Beautifully tactile in appearance, with layered paper, vintage markings and contrasting patterns creating plenty of visual interest.

• Ideal for hallways and entryways, where its welcoming theme makes an especially fitting first impression.

• Lovely in bedrooms, studies and reading spaces, particularly where soft colour and nostalgic artwork can create a relaxed atmosphere.

• Available as stretched canvas, framed print or rolled canvas, with a wide selection of sizes from EXTRA-LARGE feature art to smaller pieces.
