The largest size we offer as standard is 40 x 60 inches (102cm x 152cm) however if you need to go larger, let us know and we’ll see what we can do. Please bear in mind that we are restricted by the width of the printer which is 60inches, we can, however, print as long as a roll of canvas!
When deciding on the size you want you must also consider the dpi (dots per inch). As a rule of thumb, the bigger the image the less detailed it will be, luckily most modern cameras take photos well above the minimum requirement, the only time you’ll have issues with images are if you use a photo from Facebook or if your computer has resized and compressed your photo. . In order to ensure your satisfaction with your canvas print, we don’t accept anything less than 75 dpi. (Unsure about DPI? Learn More by reading an article about DPI we wrote on our blog a while back).
Here’s a little more detail if you are still unsure. The resolution of an image is measured by how many dots can be printed in one square inch of canvas. A good guideline for determining the largest size your image can be printed is to divide the pixel height and width of your image by 100.
We have written an extremely comprehensive guide on Image sizes and pixels for printing your photos on canvas, please feel free to visit this blog article here as I’m pretty sure it should shine some light on the subject and help answer any questions you may have.
For example, if your image is 1024 pixels by 768 pixels, then the maximum recommended size it can be printed at is 10.24 inches by 7.68 inches. Any size below this will avoid pixelation (where the individual pixels are visible) on the canvas print. All clear?
