Blue Jay 2 by John James Audubon
AUD$40.00 – AUD$500.00
Behold John James Audubon’s “Blue Jay”, an engraving and hand colored aquatint from the Birds of America, Plate 102, created between 1827 – 1838. Blue Jay demonstrates John James Audubon’s mastery at creating lively compositions which he developed from both direct observation and the specimens he collected. The image depicts two female and one male blue jay feasting on the eggs of an unidentified bird.
