On a Sailing Ship Caspar Friedrich Print. This is a print of On a Sailing Ship by Caspar David Freidrich, master of German Romantic landscape paintings. The original oil painting was completed in 1820 and depicts two people on the bow of a ship charging towards the horizon. The two smartly dressed people on board hold hands as they contemplate what lies ahead.
