Buy a Framed Portrait of Amy Zuckerlandl. Gustav Klimt was born in July 1862 in Austria, he was a symbolist painter and a prominent member of the Vienna Secession movement. Klimt was famous for his paintings, sketches and murals, his primary subject in his early career was the female form but in his twilight years, he moved away from this and more into landscapes. Klimt started his days early with walks in the woods. Locals even began to call him “Waldschrat” which means somebody who lives on their own in the woods. This is a print of an original unfinished artwork by the talented artist. Klimt created this masterpiece in 1917 but sadly it remained unfinished at the time of his death. There is a lot of controversy that surrounds this artwork and its rightful owner.
